Who Writes These Guides
Every Slow Roads guide on this site is written and maintained by the site's own editorial team, and checked against the build actually running here rather than against other websites.
How we work
There is no press kit for this game and no official documentation. The game ships without a controls screen, without a settings explanation and without a manual. So the guides here are written the only way they can be written accurately: by reading the game's own code.
In practice that means opening main.e7a33c55.chunk.js,
finding the binding table, the scene definitions, the vehicle list and
the graphics options, and writing down what is actually there. When a
guide says the camera cycle has exactly three positions, or that the
handbrake does nothing on the bike, or that Q and
E step through weather before rolling into the next season,
those came from the code, not from another site.
Screenshots
Every screenshot on this site was captured from the build running here, driving the game under browser automation with the interface hidden. None are promotional art and none were taken from elsewhere.
What we will not do
- Invent features. Several sites covering this game list four vehicles when three are selectable, or describe biomes that do not exist. If something is not in the build, it is not in a guide here.
- Pad for length. A guide is as long as the subject needs.
- Claim to be official. The game is anslo's work. We say so on every page.
Corrections
If a guide here is wrong, we want to know. Email hello@slowxroads.com with the page and the problem. Our editorial guidelines set out how corrections are handled.
